"Furlough" a new movie filmed in Ulster and Dutchess counties will open in theaters March 16.

The cast for this comedy includes three Academy Award-winning actresses — Goldberg, Anna Paquin, and Ulster County resident Melissa Leo — as well as Tessa Thompson, who has starred in "Annihilation," "Creed" and "Thor: Ragnarok" in recent years. Edgar Ramirez and La La Anthony are also featured in the film.

Scenes for “Furlough” were filmed in 2017 in Kingston, Port Ewen, the Town of Ulster in Ulster County and Pine Plains in Dutchess County.
