The Century House Historical Society is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the preservation of industrial history of the Rosendale natural cement region. We manage a circa 1810 farm house as well as 20+ acres of the former Snyder Estate. Most famously we manage the Widow Jane Mine which is a historic natural cement mine. The mine encompasses about 1 acre under ground but with a large entrance allowing natural light to enter. It is a wonderful location to film cave based scenes, music performances or dramatic events.
